Five metronomes in one app: fixed tempo, live setlists, automatic tempo ramps, polyrhythm, and ready-made rhythm patterns from Turkish usuls to jazz.
For Android, iOS, Windows and Linux. No internet, no account, no ads.
No launch date yet. When there is one, it goes up here first.
Beat Titan is built for phones and for the desktop. The same five modes, the same engine, on every platform.
Turkish usuls, Balkan, Latin, African, pop and jazz patterns, each with its own strong, medium and weak accents. The three accent levels are voiced separately — low, middle and high — so the pattern is heard, not only counted.
Change any pattern and it is saved as your own copy — the original stays untouched.
Every song stores its own tempo, time signature, subdivision, accents and count-in. Lists can be reordered, renamed and kept side by side — one for each band or venue.
Count-in gives the band a set number of bars and then stops — for songs the band plays without a click.
Every beat in the bar is set individually: strong, medium or weak. There is no fixed template for 7/8 or 9/8, because there should not be one — the grouping belongs to the piece, not to the app.
The accent lights use the same three colours across every mode, and you can change them in settings.
Two independent layers share one cycle — 3:2, 5:4, and any ratio up to 14. Both are derived from the same sample clock, so they are counted against a single reference rather than two.
The layers are panned apart — one to each ear — and voiced differently, low against high. Hearing them in separate places makes them far easier to tell apart. Pan width is adjustable, down to mono.
Simple Mode is the everyday metronome: any time signature, subdivisions — eighths, triplets, sixteenths and beyond, editable accents, and a light flash for loud stages. Tap the tempo in when you have it in your hands but not in numbers.
Dynamic Mode moves the tempo for you — up or down, at a rate you set. For building a passage past the speed you can play it today.
DESIGN
Every mode uses the same layout: the tempo in the middle, large enough to read from a music stand, and the controls in a fixed row at the bottom. Start and stop is always the same button, in the same place, in every mode.
Dark by default, because that is where it gets used. High contrast, few colours, no decoration — the three accent colours mean the same thing everywhere in the app.
